Yoga Time Studio
Go to YogaTimeStudio.com →Hello! My name is Katie Ayres, a web developer, who rebuilt YogaTimeStudio.com in 2020. When I started working on it, the site’s old theme was struggling to keep up with WordPress and PHP updates—it needed some serious grounding. I stepped in to stabilize and modernize things, making sure everything ran smoothly under the hood.
As someone who practices yoga myself, it was a real treat to continue to work and maintain a site that aligns with something I love.

Challenge: Fix a faltering website, allow clients pay and sign up for classes directly on the website and raise awareness to events at the studio
Solution:
- Replace the faltering WordPress theme with a new custom theme
- Integrate the Tula software used by client for class management seamlessly into the website.
- Provide automated calendar listings of yoga events
Client Testimonial
Katie is the best. She made all of the nuts and bolts so easy for us. She is willing to work at your pace and gives you quality advice and guidance along the way. Her prices are more than reasonable. We will be expanding our relation with One Creative Developer very soon and we are looking forward to it! Go forward with confidence.
Replace the faltering WordPress theme with a new custom theme
When Yoga Time Studio hired me, they had noticed their website was having problems. I looked under the hood and found that the previous website designer had purchased and used a theme that was not getting updated. Unfortunately, when this happens, the only choice is to build a new theme. I created a custom theme with a cohesive design that smoothed out the edges.
Integrate the Tula Software for Class Registrations
Yoga Time Studio wanted the website to allow for students to use the website to pay for passes, sign up for classes and participate in events at the studio.
The website handles the class registration and payments through Tula Software. The management of the classes, payment options and passes is on the Tula website, not directly on the yogatimestudio.com website.
This is the best of both worlds, the students can buy passes, find classes and register with them without leaving the website. But the website throws the responsibility to the Tula software website, greatly reducing the complexity and the maintenance of the yogatimestudio.com website.
You can see in the following image, where the website provides a portal into the Tula software. The website is not responsible for the information displayed within the red box, but to the student, it is seamless.

Provide automated calendar listings of yoga events.
They have single events/classes as well, so I added an event listing that is shown in reverse chronological order, allowing the students to easily see what was coming up.
The events are shown on the front page as well as the event page and will expire automatically when the event is over.
