For 20 years, as a senior software engineer, I built mission-critical software for General Dynamics to help protect our country. Mission-critical means if the software didn’t run properly, it might cause harm. I have taken all those lessons into building robust websites that last a long time. My oldest websites were launched in 2018 and they continue to run without incident.

I offer hosting which includes support and maintenance to ensure the longevity of your website. The hosting and maintenance package is tailored to your specific website needs. I will tend to your website, keeping it secure, robust, and up-to-date, to keep it running smoothly. I have extensive security and monitoring practices to ensure your website is healthy.

Hosting Services

Websites operate in a challenging environment where anyone, including malicious actors, can access them from anywhere in the world. To ensure the security and stability of your site, it’s essential to host it with a reputable provider. Your website will be hosted with the trusted web hosting company, SiteGround. 

If any issues arise with your website, I will track down the problem and solve it.  If it requires support, I will liaise with SiteGround on your behalf.

Starter Package

This package ensures your website remains functional, accessible, and optimized for search engines by addressing technical issues that may affect its credibility. Monthly maintenance activities include updating custom and general software, conducting a professional review to ensure continuing functionality, performing WordPress health checks, ensuring proper SSL certificate renewal, and monitoring site health reports.

Professional Package

This package is tailored for business websites with high customer engagement and activity, where visitor interactions directly impact revenue. It ensures the site remains fully functional, accessible, and optimized for technical SEO while addressing content or functionality issues to protect credibility with search engines.

Ideal for businesses relying on their website for daily operations, this package includes biweekly base maintenance activities and additional services like free analytics, comprehensive page testing, offsite monthly backups, and SMTP functionality checks to ensure reliable email communication.

Software Support

In the rare event of a website issue, technical support will be provided to assess and resolve problems efficiently. Hosting under the One Creative Developer umbrella allows for streamlined troubleshooting, with the first 15 minutes of support provided at no charge.

Time will not be charged for issues related to One Creative Developer software plugins or problems resolved by restoring daily backups, such as addressing a hack. However, time will be charged for issues with third-party software, new feature requests outside the scope of the agreement (handled via a separate proposal), or activities involving administrator accounts that alter the website’s fundamental structure.

Comprehensive Software Updates

Your website is powered by software, and like any software, it requires regular updates to remain current and function optimally within the WordPress ecosystem. WordPress itself also releases updates that may impact your website’s software.  Your website will be tested before WordPress releases major updates to ensure the update will not cause any issues.

To ensure your site continues to run smoothly, your websites theme and custom plugins will be updated annually. This is similar to taking your car in for routine maintenance, helping to ensure its long-term reliability.
